time

I have been a little quiet here. My heart is sad and is taking time to rest and maybe even heal. It doesn't necessarily get easier with time especially with moments of deja vu.

If you have clicked on my photo blog link you may have noticed a change in format as well as site address itself. I bought a site a while ago and finally am able to put it to some use. Hopefully it will evolve as I decide exactly how I want it to function.

We wandered the streets of San Francisco, pampered our feet,

played with cameras, took a ferry ride, lounged around the house,
and enjoyed some good food. It was nice to have her out.

My nephew Tate is watching over his new little brother.
Milo means both "peaceful & gentle" and "soldier."
Davin Pierce is a derivative of David Peter, my dad's middle names.

Interesting how the presence of a camera

causes one to either smile or hide.
Seriously, how often do you sit around with a big grin on your face?

This is one of my more composed moments on the wakeboarding trip,
only captured because someone else was shutter happy too.
Favorite activity: jumping, swimming, lounging in the water
Biggest accomplishment: not taking on the hue of a beet

I have wanted to go camping for a while this year,
and last weekend I got my chance.
A friend of mine pulled a group together
and we ventured out to a lake to try our hand at wakeboarding.

they were doing, and made it look so easy!

I did manage to stand up on the wakeboard
but for the most part I inhaled water.
The tube on the other hand
transported me much more consistently along the lake.

I seem to find myself in the woods more often these days.
Must be a good place for a sad heart.

farmer's market

I hadn't been to the farmer's market for awhile, so I decided to make a visit one Saturday and partake of some of the home-grown goodness.
Though it still can't beat walking outside and picking fresh strawberries, peas, raspberries, and all that other good stuff that finds itself in my mom's garden.

this little man was born to my roommate only a few days after i showed up in sf. quietest newborn one could imagine, or maybe my roomie just sound-proofed her room really well.

so this marks two years in sf . . . for both of us.

At some point I will put together my own website. I know I have one but it is a bit tedious to update, so I am shooting for something a little more streamline.
I'll still have pictures on this blog with stories attached to them of course, but may send you there to view an entire collection of work.

I've always been a tad timid about wearing white, unless it's a t-shirt.
I remember spoiling one pair of pants with watermelon,
another with raspberry (or maybe that one is just my imagination).
When I saw this dress though,
I thought I should give white another chance.
Luckily, the next day I was able to make good use of it on one of the
warmest days San Francisco has brought me.

some boys decided to climb a mountain,
some girls decided to go along and drive them home.

while the boys battled the elements,
the girls lounged at the beach, the hot tub, the sauna,
and in the car as they awaited their return.
